Faith
by A. Sylazhov
When reality spirals somber,
In a whirlwind of despair;
When the days begin to slumber,
Leaving only darkness there.
When I question my existence,
And my purpose in this life;
In a world that lacks persistence,
Where the punishment is rife.
I gaze into the dark abyss,
And feel my heavy pain subside;
For I can see my source of bliss,
Staring back from the other side.
If I have faith in life at all,
It shall forever be in you;
For as your voice tears down my wall,
Your brilliant light comes rushing through.
