[COMING SOON] This is a saga comprised of three novels: SOVREV, VENUS ACERBIA, and MORDEN. These neo-noir—specifically, luxury noir—stories take place in the universe of Loynne's Island, a lavish island nation under siege by revolution, war, and political intrigue, where many competing parties have their own agenda in a deeper conspiracy that might threaten reality itself.
[COMING SOON] Individual short stories and entire anthology collections that range from alternate history to science fiction, horror and beyond.
[COMING SOON] A collection of poems exploring various themes and styles.
Meta Gear Solid articles published as a guest in Terry Wolfe's 'Meta Gear Solid' site website in 2015. Over the years, my views have evolved substantially, and as a result I may no longer agree with every argument or conclusion presented here.
These articles should therefore be understood as historical documents of a particular stage in my intellectual development. They also contain various typographical, editorial, and factual errors. Most notably, the article "Kojima and the Soviet Union" contains a major editing mistake in which I incorrectly wrote that "there was no crime in the Soviet Union," which is blatantly incorrect, and what I intended to convey was that certain crimes discussed in the article did not exist on a comparable scale in the Soviet Union, which wasn't added due to an oversight in editing.
The articles were also published without formal citations. At the time, I preferred an essayistic style and encouraged readers to conduct their own research to double check what I was saying, although the arguments themselves were based on sources and evidence not included in the text.
In the future, I may revisit some of these subjects in revised editions featuring proper sourcing, updated research, and more balanced analysis. Regardless of their shortcomings, I remain grateful to Terry Wolfe for providing me with a platform to express my views and publish my work. Feel free to read my interview with Terry on his website, from September 2017.
Over the years, some of my essays have found a small audience beyond their original publication. My work has been discussed on forums, Reddit, social media, and fan websites, while several articles were highlighted by communities such as The Snake Soup and Games Done Legit. To this day, I'm still surprised at how I keep finding these articles referenced occasionally. These references thus reflect a modest contribution to discussions surrounding video games, history, politics, and cultural analysis. You can read them all here.
The following articles reflect a range of interests including cultural identity, history, and video games. Written between 2015 and 2017, they explore geopolitical themes in popular culture and representations of Spain in Japanese video games.
These works were produced independently and represent different stages of my intellectual and professional development. Together, they illustrate my long-standing interest in cultural analysis, media studies, history, and the intersection between popular culture and national identity.
The following books are part of our archive collection and are no longer officially endorsed. They remain accessible for reference and historical purposes. These are early versions of what is currently called simply "SOVREV" – the first book in the Loynne's Island Trilogy – and should be regarded as early, outdated versions of this story.
