Echoes

Echoes — A. Sylazhov

Echoes

You know who you are.
Or, rather, you used to.

I remember; oh, I remember,
Azure-coated diamonds, shining behind curtains of disdain.
Air of mystery and enigma, quiet as you looked on in despair.

And now, but a shadow of your former self,
You shine still ever so brightly —
Echoes in the back end of my pain.
